About this pattern
Each element of this preset is a rosette of short dashes tracing a hexagon around an open circular center, the visual language of a camera aperture or iris shutter frozen mid-rotation. Tiled on a staggered grid, neighboring rosettes interlock so their dashes appear to spin in alternating directions.
The open center of every rosette is the functional heart of the pattern: it gives each cell a genuine through-hole for airflow or light, while the dashes around it add visual complexity without weakening the panel, since each dash is a small, structurally safe cut-out.
This is also a pattern that rewards scale contrast. Cut small, it reads as a technical texture on electronics housings; enlarged so a single rosette spans a hand, it becomes graphic wall art. The dash length, gap, and hexagon proportions all live inside the custom shape, ready to be redrawn.
